Metro Manila Development Authority Chairman Bayani Fernando said that the Metro Manila Film Festival this year will be prestigious.
Fernando says that chairman of that annual movie industry event, will be star-studded as the festival.
2009 MMFF call as “The Blockbuster Festival” because of the eight entries of box-office stars.
Comedy King Dolphy and Willie Revillame in”John”, Sharon Cuneta in “Mano Po 6″, Bong Revilla in “Panday” Vic Sotto in “The Darling Kong Aswang and Manny Pacquiao in “Wapakman.”
The leading Lady of Pacquiao is the Fil-Am leader of the Pussycat Dolls Nicole Schrezinger.
The other entries are “Shake, Rattle & Roll 11″ Ruffa Gutierrez; “Ikaw na Nga” Kris Aquino and “Nieves” Marian Rivera.
Fernando also believed that up to P500 million will be gain in this “The Blockbuster Festival” this December.

Despite the controversy surrounds yearly in festival, Fernando assures that the proceeds of the event will be go to respective beneficiaries.
Including the Movie Workers’ Welfare Fund, Film Academy of the Philippines, Film Development Council of the Philippines, Optical Media Board, Motion Picture Anti-Film Piracy Council and President’s Social Fund.
The film was chosen by their commercial viability, creativity and Filipino cultural values.
