Allen Iverson, moving to Memphis Grizzlies

After one season in Detroit Pistons, former NBA MVP Allen Iverson continues his basketball career with the Memphis Grizzlies.

Iverson confirmed by moving to Memphis in his tweeter.

“God Chose Memphis as the place that I will continue my career,” the 34 year-old point guard.

Iverson had talked to Grizzlies owner Michael Heisley, general manager Chris Wallace and Coach Lionel Hollins, were in they agreed to a one year contract.

This was the fourth team since 13 year veteran live his mother team Philadelphia 76ers.

Iverson will join the young talents of Grizzlies Rudy Gay, OJ May and Michael Conley.

“I would lead by example. I could show how important it is to work hard everyday, play the game the right way, & just like it’s your last, “said Iverson.

Iverson became the number one overall pick of the Philadelphia 76ers in the 1996 NBA draft.

After 10 years playing 76ers, he moved to Denver Nuggets in December 2006 and two years later he traded to Detroit Pistons.

Cotto vs. Pacquiao Fight, carry on November

Formally announced by Promotions Top Rank President Bob Arum to set the November 15, fight of junior welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao and WBO welterweight champion Miguel Cotto.

Arum said that 145 pounds will be the catch wait.

“Manny Pacquaio and Miguel Cotto have reached an agreement to fight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. The fight will be seen live on HBO Pay-Per-View. Top Rank is working on a major media tour to start right after Labor Day, “statement by Arum.

At his moment Arum is very excited to the upcoming fight his two best boxers. Pacquiao and Cotto are under Top Rank Promotion.

“There’s no messing about with either of these guys, and that’s what’s so exciting. That’s why it’s an unbelievable fight, with two guys who really love to fight and do not dance around,” Arum said.

First, Pacquaio watch the fight of Cotto vs. Joshua Clottey last month, wherein Pacquiao ask Arum to start the negotiations for Cotto.

“With Manny, you do not tell him who to fight. He tells you who he wants to fight. He’s not afraid of anything. There’s a lot easier of guys he could fight, but he does not want that. He wants the best, and that’s Michael, ” Arum.

RP team fails vs. Jordan on the first day of 2009 Jones Cup

Philippine team fail against Jordan team in first day of the 31st William Jones Cup in Taipei,Taiwan. This is the reason why RP team failed to fulfill the desire to vengeance against Jordan. Two years ago Philippines failed to qualify in 2008 Beijing Olympics because of losing against Jordanians.

Andy Roddick, withdraw joining “Indianapolis Tennis Championships”

Because of right hip flexion injury, Wimbledon runner-up Andy Roddick chose to withdraw the Indianapolis Tennis Championships scheduled to be held next week.

Roddick injury is the same as he withdraws the U.S. Davis Cup.

Kevin Martin, the tournament director is disappointed to Roddick for not participating, but he understands the condition of tennis superstar.

Martin announced that he must ensure the participation of world’s number 17 James Blake, before the start of qualifying round this Friday.

Dwyane Wade, change shoes being indorse
