Title defense of Donie Nietes, postponed

Title defense of WBO minimum weight champion Donnie “Ahas” Nietes against Interim champion Manuel “Chango” Vargas was postponed. This is confirmed by international matchmaker Samson Lewkowitcz that the title defense of Nietes will be on August 1.

First, Nietes revealed that he is ready to fight the Mexican boxer Vargas and in fact he also watched the five fight of Vargas and studied the technique. Additionally, he was not afraid to Mexican Warrior but on the outbreak of A (H1N1).

Fight proposal of Arum favor to Pacquiao – Salud

Rex “Wakee” Salud now confirms that the fight proposal of Top Rank Promotion President Bob Arum is favored to junior welterweight Manny Pacquiao.

Salud said that based on the initial content of the proposal by Arum, the fight contained 145 pounds catch weight and also 65-35 parted to each other and the WBO welterweight belt of Miguel Cotto will weigh up on November 15 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

WBO welterweight champion Miguel Cotto agreed to fight junior welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao in catch weight 145 lbs.

After the press conference earlier in Las Vegas for “Pinoy Power 2″ IBF flyweight champion Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire and Bernabe Concepcion, announced today that the tickets will start sell on the Saturdays in America. The tickets are worth $ 200, $ 100, and $ 50.

Donaire Jr. will fight former world champion Rafael “El Torito” Concepcion for World Boxing Association super flyweight interim championship.

Bernabe Concepcion will fight World Boxing Organization (WBO) featherweight champion Steven Luevano.

Negotiations Pacman-Cotto fight, on the right track- Arum

Good outcome of the first conversation in the camp of WBO welterweight champion Miguel Cotto Promotions and Top Rank President Bob Arum about the November 15 fight of junior welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao.

According to Arum, the negotiations Cotto-Pacquiao Showdown is on the right track and it will finalize next week.

“We’re pretty well there. I’ll get it done next week. That’s my goal,” statement by Arum.

More by Arum, I will not call Pacman immediatly to confirm the match with Cotto, first need to review by national fist the fight proposal because it does not want this trouble.

The latest ranking released on June 21, the first place still Manny Pacquiao. Second to Pacman is the Lightweight King Juan Manuel Marquez, 3rd light heavyweight champion Bernard Hopkins, 4th to Pacquiao is Shane Mosley.

5th Junior featherweight Israel Vazquez at, 6th junior featherweight Rafael Marquez, 7th flyweight king and the Filipino Flash Nonito Donaire Jr., 8th Vic Darchiyan.

The said next opponent of Pacman is WBO welterweight champion Miguel Cotto that is in 9th positions and 10th Celestino Caballero for the junior featherweight division.

Juan Manuel Lopez, feature Latin Fury 9 on Sunday
