Klitschko Gave Chagaev His First Defeat

Except for a postponement of July fight of Floyd Mayweather Jr and Juan Manuel Marquez, the fight of British light welterweight Amir Khan against the WBA champion Andreas Kotelnik also postponed.

The title fight of Khan should be June 27 but due to dental infections of Kotelnik will do that on July 18 at MEN Arena in Manchester.

Khan said that one of the favorite sparring partner of junior welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao, although it dismayed me for the cancellation, I just focus on my training.

“These things happen so I have to be professional and stay focused. The postponement is a pain but I’m delighted the fight is still on – and when I’m crowned world champion it will make up for it, “Khan said.

Khan is under Coach Freddie Roach and conditioning Coach Alex Ariza at Wild Card Gym.

“Freddie Roach is adjusting my training accordingly so that I’m ready for the new date and I’m at my peak both physically and mentally,” statement by Khan.

The 22-years British Boxer was silver medalist in Athens Olympics in 2004 and only 5th round technical decision over to Mexican legend Marco Antonio Barrera last March.

Mayweather Jr vs Marquez Fight Cancelled

The comeback fight of former pound-for-pound king and undefeated Floyd Mayweather Jr., was cancelled after he incured an injury on his hips while his preparation on his coming fight of his rival against Juan Manuel Marquez.

Both Mayweather Jr. and Marquez are disappointed even us viewers. But we can not do anything because if Mayweather Jr. vs Marquez will continue, on the part of Mayweather Jr. is affair. So Stay tune guys, I will post the updates if the Mayweather Jr. vs Marquez will be rescheduled.

The August 22 fight of Paul Malignaggi vs. Juan Diaz is sealed and to be held in Houston, Texas.

DiBella Entertainment and Golden Boy Promotions agreed and finally signed for the catch weight of 138.5 lbs.

“This is a fight between two guys looking to prove something. We are both coming of losses in big fights and we are both coming in hungry. Expect fireworks, “said Malignaggi.

Malignaggi who fought last junior welterweight fight at 140 pounds will reduce two pound for the coming fight.

Paul Malignaggi lost by former junior welterweight champion Rocky Hatton.

Pacquiao vs Mosley Bout Under Negotiation

The negotiation start to roll for the next fight of our very own IBO/Ring Magazine junior welterweight champion Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao vs WBA welterweight champion Sugar Shane Mosley.

The information given by Rex “Wakee” Salud, team Pacquiao started the negotiating for WBA 147 pounder champion in connection for the October fight.

But the only problem is the catchweight. According to Salud, coach Freddie Roach don’t want the weight of 144 pounds that team Mosley want. Roach said, it is difficult for Pacquiao the 144 pounds because Mosley is taller that team Pacquiao negotiates the weight 142 pounds.

Mosley ready to give-up his fight purse and catchweight limit just to fight the pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao.

Miguel Cotto vs Joshua Clottey Fight in New York

While the promoters fixing the details this upcoming fight of IBO/Ring Magazine Junior Welterweight Champion Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao this coming October, Pacquiao must have to relax and just watch the Cotto-Clottey bout at Madison Square Garden in New York.

For now the legal counsel of Pacquiao, Atty. Franklyn Gacal admit that Pacquiao-Cotto match is undecided because of weight class issue. The team Pacquiao admit that Pacquiao have difficulties to adjust for his weight to 140 pounds – 147 pounds that Cotto’s really weight in boxing ring.

At the same time, Pacquiao will go to U.S to attend the Awards Night of Boxing Writers of America on June 7. Before that Pacquiao has time one week to be with his family from June 1-6 in Australia.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs Juan Manuel Marquez Fight Result

WBA/WBO lightweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez formally start his training for his scheduled fight with his rival Floyd Mayweather, Jr. on July 18, at MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

According to Marquez, his plan is to make his whole training in Mexico for the said fight, but because of  spread-out of swine flu he was thinking to transfer to Big Bear, California for the continuation of his training.

Marquez is the underdog of this fight because Mayweather Jr. is bigger than him, but Marquez believe to himself that he will defeat Mayweather.

“I’m positive that I’m going to beat Mayweather. It’s true that he has a two inch height advantage, a little bit more  reach and he is a great fighter – but I know that he is beatable, and I will do just that on July 18,” said Marquez.

In addition, this is not the first time that he will be the underdog, in there last two fights with Pacquiao he will always the underdog.

“Even though I lost the rematch by one point  and had a draw in the other, I am sure I won both fights. Pacquiao said that he hoped to fight Mayweather in November, because Mayweather is going to win over me, but that won’t happen. In November, I will be his opponent.” said Marquez.
