Good outcome of the first conversation in the camp of WBO welterweight champion Miguel Cotto Promotions and Top Rank President Bob Arum about the November 15 fight of junior welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao.

According to Arum, the negotiations Cotto-Pacquiao Showdown is on the right track and it will finalize next week.

“We’re pretty well there. I’ll get it done next week. That’s my goal,” statement by Arum.

More by Arum, I will not call Pacman immediatly to confirm the match with Cotto, first need to review by national fist the fight proposal because it does not want this trouble.

Not like against the pound-for-pound king Ricky Hatton, who by telephone Pacquiao said yes.

“We decided we did not want to call Manny to discuss it on the phone because Manny tends to be distracted,” Arum

Top Rank big boss admitted no problem to catch weight. “The weight is still in the air. But we’re still in the same ballpark. It’s not a big issue, really. Michael is not going down below 144. Manny wants him to be a couple pounds below 147. That’s not going to stop the deal from being made, “by Arum.

The Pacman-Cotto fight will be held at MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada.
